Branded Rickshaws and Event Shuttles in Amsterdam

Black Fox Transport Tour and Hire has been moving people through Amsterdam by rickshaw since 2015. Alongside the city tours we do two things for companies: we carry your guests between venues during an event, and we put your brand on the side of a rickshaw and ride it through the parts of the city a vehicle cannot reach.

Both are quoted on request, because both depend on how many riders you need, for how long, and where in the city you want them.

Branded rickshaw advertising

A branded rickshaw is advertising that moves at walking pace, at eye level, in streets where cars are not welcome and where people are already looking around them.

We prepare and fit your branded panel design using your logo, brand colours and campaign idea. If you already have print-ready artwork, we can use that too. Then we ride an agreed route with it: the canal belt, the Nine Streets, Museumplein, Leidseplein, the Jordaan, or a loop around your venue while your event is running. Your brand sits at the same height as the people walking past it, moving slowly enough to read.

Event, conference and trade show shuttles

We run rickshaw shuttles for events, conferences and trade shows, including the RAI. The usual jobs are moving delegates between a venue and a nearby hotel, carrying guests from a dinner to a second location, or running a loop at a festival or a company day.

Each rickshaw carries up to 2 adults, with room for a 3rd normal or slim guest. For a group we put several rickshaws on the same route, so people leave in a steady flow instead of waiting for one vehicle to come back.

Our riders speak English, Dutch, Greek, Bulgarian and Spanish.

Why a rickshaw and not a vehicle

We are a rickshaw and bike taxi service and we do not pretend to be a car service. What a rickshaw does well is short distances in a dense centre. It goes where cars are restricted, and it stops where cars cannot. It is not held up by the traffic that holds up everything else in the centre. There is no engine, no fumes and no noise, which matters if your event has a sustainability line in its brief. And guests arrive having enjoyed the trip, which is not usually true of a shuttle bus.

For longer distances, or for anything outside the city, a rickshaw is the wrong tool and we will tell you so.

What you get

An agreed route and timing, written down before the day. Riders who know the centre and are used to working to an event schedule. Pick-up included at the venue or an agreed meeting point in the city centre, and roughly 2 km around the centre or the main route, with anything further outside on request and possibly at extra cost. And one point of contact for the whole booking.

Questions

How far in advance should we book?

The earlier the better for a large group, because it comes down to how many riders we can put on the job. For a small booking a few days is often enough. Call or send a WhatsApp message and you will get an answer quickly.

How many guests can you move in an hour?

It depends on the distance between the two points. Over a short hop in the centre a single rickshaw can do several runs an hour, and we scale by adding rickshaws rather than by making each one go faster. Tell us the numbers and the route and we will tell you how many we need. What happens if it rains?

Our rickshaws have a roof and rain cover, so rain and wind are normally not a problem. The ride can usually continue as planned. Only in extreme or unsafe weather conditions will we contact the customer to find the best solution.

Do you supply the artwork for a branded rickshaw?

You can send us your logo, brand colours and campaign idea, and we can prepare the panel design for you. If you already have your own designer, we can provide the panel sizes and you can send us print-ready artwork instead. We fit removable branding panels, and final design, production and timing are confirmed per request before the event.
